Just the title.. Once I liked to plant varieties of hibiscus colors, but then the hobby tends to lack as this flower the hybrid one, doesn't bloom for long compare to the red ones, there are hundreds of hybrids to enjoy in every color imaginable ..First this red hibiscus.. which also represent the national flowers of Malaysia. Its scientific name is hibiscus rosa-sinensis,. I have a friend whose daughter's name is Rosa Angelica..cool eh.
The leaves of this red hibiscus can be mashed and the paste can be put on the forehead if one has a fever, it is said to reduce the heat from the fever.
Some facts of hibiscus :
- the dried hibiscus is edible, and is often a delicacy in Mexico.
- the hibiscus flower is traditionally worn by Hawaiian women. A single flower is tucked behind the ear. Which ear is used indicates the wearer's availability for marriage.
- In Egypt and Sudan, roselle petals are used to make a tea named after the plant, karkade. (all internet sources)

These flowers are absolutely gorgeous!!

You would love my mom's garden. She can grow anything too. She got the green thumb, i got the purple one, or whatever's opposite of green.
