Dad planted 2 of these trees in front of the house and the smell is very strong whenever the fruits are ripening. As a kid, I was really excited whenever a ripe fruit drops to the ground and sister and I would rush to beat each other to pick up the fruit. Sometimes, we became impatient and we shook the tree. Another name for wani fruit is Kuini,...Gallivanter,<br />Another name for wani fruit is Kuini, and I think it is pretty much the same since it has the 'ni' sound at the back. Its taste like mango except that it has a sweet strong smell when it has ripen.
